Fourth Class Reflection

Today was the first time I went on trial with Judge Doctor Chris! He put me on probation because my third class reflection was too short so I immediately edited the blog post to make it longer. I'm doing this reflection in class so I don't forget what we did today and have lots to write about!

Today I learned a lot about color and lighting. My group did two presentations today. I think they went well but definitely could have been more edutaining! We will definitely look for more ways to spice up our presentation on chapter 8 for next week. I also learned a lot today about aspect ratios, which one of the other groups presented about. Here are some of the terms I learned:

I think the class is going in a positive direction. I think that the more presentations we do, the better they will be and the more we will all learn from each other.

My group worked pretty well together today during our presentations! I think we just need more confidence talking about the different concepts from our outlines, but Doc Chris gave us some really good constructive criticism regarding our presentations. Hopefully we can work as a group to take that advice and improve our presentations!

Third Class Reflection

So today Amanda and I were a little late to class BUT it was totally worth it because we brought everyone pizza!!! Doc Chris gave us a late pass for feeding the class, not to mention a Starbucks voucher! I have lots of videos from class that I need to put up on my blog but I lost the usb cord that connects my phone to my computer. Once I get a new one I'll post the videos, which, might I add, are extremely entertaining. One of the videos is a trial with Judge Doc Chris and a student and the other is a video of Doc Chris dancing. Let's just say Doc Chris has some pretty impressive dance moves HA!

We also had two group presentations today and I learned a lot about lighting and visual effects. My group didn't present during this class because everyone wanted to get out a little early, which means that next week we will present two chapters.

This week I learned a lot from watching the other groups' presentations. They showed the class their blogs and powerpoints to demonstrate some of the main points from the chapter they outlined. I was really impressed with my classmates' ability to entertain and teach the class!

Although we weren't able to present today, my group worked really well together to summarize our chapter and put a powerpoint together with all our notes, videos, and pictures. It looks great! Our group also worked well together preparing for the second presentation we have to do next class on chapter 5. We can't wait to present!

I feel like the direction of the class is going really well. One thing I would like to work on throughout the semester is updating my blog on a more regular basis with more interesting content. I feel like I am getting the hang of it but could still improve!
